The Humanities, Social Science, and Communication Department is responsible for administering and providing core courses for the Bachelor of Science degree in User Experience. In addition, the department is primarily responsible for offering courses in the humanities, social sciences, English, and communication. These offerings include both fundamental and advanced courses to develop and enrich students so they become more sensitive to, and fully aware of, themselves and others.

Humanities, Social Science, and Communication Electives

HU and SS electives are any courses with the HU or SS prefix that are not specifically required for a student’s program of study.

Enrollment in Foreign Language Courses

• A proficiency exam administered by the instructor may be needed to determine the appropriate level of language course for the student.
• A student placed in a higher-level foreign language course will not receive retroactive credit for lower level language courses.
