HON 2052 - Honors Seminar II2 lecture hours 2 lab hours 3 credits
Course Description
The second course in the honors seminar sequence will continue to develop students’ understanding and application of program outcomes through various topics. Embracing intellectual curiosity, we explore and identify connections between complex problems - both past and present - to implement creative interventions that address social challenges and support “The Power of Communities.” Students will continue their work on a two-year experiential learning project that will connect them to organizations involved with social justice work in the greater Milwaukee community.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Relate various forms of knowledge-local and foreign; scholarly and popular-that contribute to a broad understanding of past and contemporary world order
- Cultivate and foster intercultural awareness and learning, developing critical and reflective perspectives on difference
- Show awareness of the origins and nature of cultural, economic, and power differences among different regions of the world
- Engage with organizations involved with social justice work
