The Minor in Physics is offered to those students who wish to expand their background and understanding of physics. To qualify, a student must take 17 credits of eligible courses. This includes a minimum of 9 credits from the list of approved courses.
Interested students should contact the coordinator for the minor for clarification to the extent to which free, technical and math/science electives may be used in fulfilling the requirements for the minor. For additional information, see the minors policy.

Notes:
Some of the approved courses are offered as part of the regular course offerings, others are only offered if there is sufficient student interest, and many are on a two-year rotating schedule. There is no guarantee of availability of any particular course in any particular semester. Changes in course offerings that will meet the requirements of the minor will be indicated in the Schedule of Classes and in the Undergraduate Academic Catalog.
In addition to scheduled electives, groups of students may also petition the faculty to offer a course different than the scheduled electives. Interested students may contact any department faculty member.
