NU 3100 - Principles of Electrocardiograph (ECG) Interpretation and Monitoring

3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits


The ECG interpretation and monitoring course focuses on the essential information needed to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias. ECG recognition skills are developed and associated with client signs and symptoms. Technology used in monitoring cardiac rhythms is explored from design and user perspective. Current pharmacology for treatment of cardiac dysrhythmias is addressed. Simulation technology is incorporated into course providing students with real time rhythm identification and treatment.
