MT 4301 - Feedback Control Systems3 lecture hours 2 lab hours 4 credits This course introduces open-loop and closed-loop control systems by means of Laplacedomain block diagrams. Differential equations are used to write mathematical models of mechanical, electrical and other systems. Transient and steady-state responses of first-order and second-order systems are examined. Frequency response, including the development of Bode plots, is included. Feedback systems employing controllers are implemented in both laboratory sessions and computer simulations to study the performance of components and systems. (prereq: MA 226 , MT 3301 , MT 3901 )
