EB 2000 - BioMolecular Lab Safety and Ethics1 lecture hours 0 lab hours 1 credits This course provides basic knowledge of laboratory safety and hazards including: safety regulations, potential hazards, personal protective equipment, elementary toxicology, good laboratory practices, and engineering controls. The course focuses on how to accomplish regulatory compliance, minimize hazards, and reduce the severity of any incidents that may occur in a laboratory. Ethical questions connected with the impact of the sciences and engineering are discussed in terms of global applications. This course must be passed in order to be part of any biomolecular lab experiments and senior design projects. (prereq: sophomore standing)
