UXD 4820 - UX Internship I1 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description UXD 4820 UX Internship I is the initial stage of a comprehensive internship experience designed exclusively for UX majors. This course provides a structured pathway for applying theoretical knowledge from the classroom to real-world, practical work environments. Focusing on external internship projects, students will explore a range of career opportunities within digital and immersive design, UX research, visual design, data visualization, software development, content management, digital marketing, and project management. Participants are required to complete 150 hours of work, culminating in a comprehensive report detailing their experiences, skills acquired, and reflective insights. Prereq: Enrollment in the UX program as a major or minor, junior standing, academic advisor and UX program director consent Note: UXD 4820 UX Internship I serves as a program elective for UX majors. Students are responsible for securing their internship opportunities through various channels, including the Career Connections Center and the UX program director or academic advisor. All necessary paperwork must be completed before starting the internship.
