UXD 4030 - UX Strategy3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description User Experience (UX) strategy is the plan and approach for developing human-centered products and services. This course will cover UX visioning, tactics, and methodologies and how they align and influence organizational vision and strategy, user needs, and technical capabilities. Students will learn how to think about UX from a high level, set goals for a product or project, and turn the strategies into concrete steps. In addition, students will explore how the digital workplace of today influences employee experience, which enables new, more effective ways of working with the employee experience at the core. This class is a mixture of lecture, discussion, and hands-on projects. Prereq: UXD 1001 , COM 2001 , junior standing (quarter system prereq: UX 1400 or UX 1400H and GS 1002 or GS 1020H or GS 1002E) Note: None This course meets the following Raider Core CLO Requirement: None Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the major considerations and frameworks of UX strategy, including trends that influence strategy decisions and positioning
- Construct an organizational vision, mission, and strategy drive UX strategy
- Examine how User Experience, Employee Experience, and Client Experience work together to great a total organizational experience
- Debate the opportunities and challenges associated UX strategy
- Create valid UX measures of success and tie them back to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
