BUS 4950 - German Colloquium

Course Description
This course is required at the end of the formal studies in the exchange program with Technische Hochschule Lübeck (THL), Lübeck, Germany. It is the complement of the German Capstone Thesis experience. Students are required to have an oral presentation of their thesis, and at the discretion of the review committee, a defense of their thesis and academic studies. (prereq: only for THL German Exchange Students in the Rader School of Business) (coreq: BUS 4901 )
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Formulate a presentation, analysis, and defense of the thesis work for the sponsoring organization and the academic review committee from Technische Hochschule Lübeck and the Rader School of Business
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge and independent thought in answering questions related to the thesis or any previous studies examined by the academic review committee
  • Summarize and synthesize complex business problems into a concise presentation that is relevant and understandable to varied stakeholders at different levels of expertise, both academically and professionally
