BUS 4901 - Business Capstone2 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description In this capstone course, students will propose and complete a summative project that demonstrates the student’s ability to integrate the knowledge, skills, and experiences acquired in their business program. Students will describe the business case for the project, develop a project scope and plan, and identify and obtain the resources necessary for successful project completion. Based on the project plan, students will complete the activities within the project using appropriate analytical techniques and technical tools. Students will meet regularly with a faculty advisory panel to track project progress, and at the completion of the course, students will professionally present their projects to stakeholders. This course meets the following Raider Core CLO requirement: Integrate Learning. (prereq: senior standing or advisor consent) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Analyze the business case for a project, including alignment with enterprise strategies and stakeholder needs
- Assess the data sources needed for a project related to the overall scope and strategy
- Demonstrate the use of appropriate analytical techniques and technical tools based on project scope and strategy
- Prepare professional presentations of project progress and findings in written and oral formats for diverse stakeholders
