OR 1913 - Academic Intervention & Support 21 lecture hours 0 lab hours 0 credits Course Description This course is designed to support second year MSOE students who are struggling academically and have been placed on academic probation. Through regular meetings with academic support staff students will define their academic difficulties and take ownership of their learning leading to a successful future at the university. (prereq: none) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Develop and apply the learning strategies necessary for academic success
- Learn to develop accountability to self and others for the learning process
- Recognize the academic and non-academic reason that impede progress
- Understand personal academic struggles and how to overcome them
- Know what supports are available to aid in their academic success
