BA 4991 - Capstone I0 lecture hours 10 lab hours 3 credits Course Description In this first course of the capstone series, students will propose a summative project that will demonstrate the student’s ability to integrate the knowledge, skills, and experiences acquired in the Business Administration program. Students will describe the business case for the project, develop a project scope and plan, and identify and obtain the resources necessary for successful project completion. Students will meet regularly with a faculty advisor to track project progress. (prereq: senior standing and consent of program director) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify and describe the business case for a project, including alignment with enterprise strategies and/or market
- Evaluate a project idea and its potential to produce innovation and changes to the status quo
- Assess the data sources needed for a project related to the overall scope and strategy
- Perform a resource assessment for a project including budget and personnel
