MI 18010 - Medical Informatics Capstone I

Course Description
In this course, the student will identify an informatics problem and/or opportunity that will be the focus of his/her capstone project.  The student will prepare a project/research proposal, including preliminary research for the topic. (prereq: None)
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Evaluate an informatics scenario, identifying key problem areas and/or opportunities from multiple perspectives, such as ethical, legal, and social.
  • Demonstrate the ability to conduct in-depth analysis of a scenario from a systems perspective.
