Designed to accommodate busy professionals, the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) courses are available through either online or blended-online format. The on-line format allows convenience for distance learning while the blended-online format combines the benefits of face-to-face interaction with the convenience of online learning. Both formats provide flexibility to balance graduate education with work and family responsibilities.
Accreditation
The master’s degree program in nursing at Milwaukee School of Engineering is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

Program Goals
Within a few years of graduation, graduates of the MSN program at MSOE will be able to:
- Lead others and manage resources in complex health care systems with a sense of social and ethical responsibility
- Have the knowledge and skills desired by employers to progress in their desired career path
- Improve systems in health care to positively impact outcomes for patients, families, and communities

- Exhibit exemplary professional practice in the role of leader, mentor, and role model for nurses
- Effectively lead and manage the nursing workforce and/or interprofessional teams to deliver high quality, safe patient care
- Proficiently translate best evidence into practice to influence decisions that are clinically and fiscally responsible

- Manage the process of change inclusive of policy, health care reform and the influence of globalization

School of Nursing (SON) Graduate Student Handbook
