Mission

MSOE School of Nursing is the academic institution of choice for those seeking an inclusive community of experiential learners who are dedicated to a wholistic, team-based approach for solving complex health challenges of today and tomorrow.

Program Goals

Within a few years of graduation, graduates of the BS in Nursing program will:

  • Practice as nursing generalists to meet the ever-changing health care needs
  • Serve the health care needs of a diverse global community
  • Be prepared to engage in graduate study
  • Critically reflect on their nursing practice and evaluate the effects of their nursing care
  • Be guided by ethical principles and standards of professional care
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in interprofessional interactions

Ruehlow Nursing Complex and Clinical Experiences 

The Ruehlow Nursing Complex houses the School of Nursing labs and Simulation Center. Clinical experiences occur in a variety of hospitals and health care agencies in Milwaukee and surrounding communities.

Professional Nurse (RN) Licensure

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are awarded the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS in Nursing) degree and are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)™. After successfully passing the NCLEX exam, graduates are eligible for licensure.
