MS 4040 - Health Care Quality Systems and Improvement3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description Students apply contemporary management methodologies in health care environments to address issues of quality and patient safety. The methodologies incorporate the organizational change management required to achieve successful outcomes, improved quality and reduced errors. Students in this course will learn to use and apply the Lean and Six Sigma tools to define, measure, analyze, improve and control the complex processes of health care delivery. These same tools can also be applied to create quality processes related to the development and implementation of management solutions.
