BUS 4903 - Business Capstone II3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description In the second capstone course, students will complete the summative project they proposed in Business Capstone I, which demonstrates the student’s ability to integrate the knowledge, skills, and experiences acquired in their business program. Students will describe the business case for the project, develop a project scope and plan, and identify and obtain the resources necessary for successful project completion. Based on the project plan, students will complete the activities within the project using appropriate analytical techniques and technical tools. Students will meet regularly with a faculty advisory panel to track project progress, and at the completion of the course, students will professionally present their projects to stakeholders. Prereq: BUS 4902 Note: None This course meets the following Raider Core CLO Requirement: Integrate Learning Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Create an appropriate scope for your project that meets the business needs and meets stakeholder expectations
- Analyze the business need identified with a strong theoretical framework using appropriate analytical techniques and technical tools
- Act as a project manager giving regular progress reports to stakeholders, maintaining an appropriate workflow for project completion, and completing work at a high quality
- Prepare professional presentations of project progress and findings in written and oral formats for diverse stakeholders
