MEC 4950 - THL Bachelor’s Thesis

Course Description
This course involves the performance, documentation and defense of individual project work to meet the requirements for the THL/MSOE dual degree program. (prereq: MEC 4901  and participation in the THL/MSOE exchange program) (quarter system prereq: ME 490, ME 491, ME 492 and participation in the THL/MSOE exchange program)
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Write an in-depth thesis documenting the student’s process that recognizes, defines, solves and validates a scientific or engineering task within a specified time. It should demonstrate student’s ability to solve an application-orientated problem from the field of mechanical engineering and/or material science.
  • Use scientific and practical methods to show the handling of technical and non-technical details, including the scope definition and obtaining meaningful results.
