CAE 4999 - Civil and Architectural Engineering Independent Study Variable credits Course Description Independent study allows a student with a particular interest in a topic to undertake additional work outside of the classroom format. The student works under the supervision of a faculty member and undertakes studies that typically lead to a report. (A maximum of three credits of independent study may be applied to a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Architectural Engineering degree; credits for independent study may not be transferred from other institutions.)
