BUS 2900 - Character in the Business Professions3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course combines the moral and ethical aspects of being an individual of character across business careers. Other areas of discussion will include discovering your character strengths and how they may be best utilized during your career, as well as in your personal life as a leader in your community. It also provides critical information to help you build a professional foundation for a successful career path - and the skills to continue to thrive in your career, and how to have a lasting positive impression in your life. (prereq: none) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Develop an understanding of character and how it impacts choices in life
- Assess dimensions of character and their impact on personal and professional relationships
- Apply ethical theories in personal and professional situations
