ARE 2851 - Architectural Graphics

Course Description
Architectural Graphics builds on the information taught in Introduction to CAECM Graphics. Students work to prepare architectural and architectural engineering drawings by hand, using AutoCAD and Revit. (prereq: CAE 1851 ) (quarter system prereq: AE 1001 or CV 1001)
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Describe how construction documents (drawings and specifications) are organized and their importance in building safe buildings and infrastructure
  • Prepare architectural drawings using hand drafting techniques
  • Prepare drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT software

  • Basic understanding of Autodesk AutoCAD
  • Basic understanding of Autodesk Revit
