TC 3010 - Digital Workplace

3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits

Course Description
Gone are the days that workplaces are purely physical and have standard business hours for all employees. Today, employees are always connected and are able to access information anytime, anywhere, blurring the lines of work and personal life. This shift has forced organizations to think about work (collaboration, culture, human resources, etc.) in an entirely new way-the digital workplace. The digital workplace is a natural evolution of the workplace that is comprised of existing and emerging technologies that work together fostering this new way of working. At the core of the digital workplace is the employee experience. To ensure that the digital workplace aligns with employee expectations of their new work environment, user experience professionals work to create immersive intranets and frictionless collaborative spaces. This class will include a mixture of lecture, discussion, and project work. (prereq: GS 1002 or GS 1020H and sophomore standing)
