CV 5300 - Pavement Design3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course introduces civil engineering students to the basics of pavement design. Students will learn about distress mechanisms in common pavement applications, discuss recent advancements in materials and pavement mixes, address sustainable pavement mixes and designs, and explore strategies to mitigate temperature effects in pavement. Energy effects, such as fuel consumption on vehicular traffic, will also be discussed.
