UX 242 - Collaborative Design3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description Through this course, it is intended that the student will learn, understand, and apply the principles of a collaborative design process. Specifically, students will gain knowledge of and experience in creative collaboration, group dynamics, and cross-functional teams. Students will be introduced to processes and tools that enable them to engage in purposeful conversations, create and advance a shared vision, build an effective team, and produce quality deliverables. Students cannot receive credit for both UX 242 Collaborative Design and TC 2030 Collaborative Design. (prereq: GS 1002 or GS 1020H , and GS 1003 or GS 1030H ) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Communicate design ideas effectively
- Practice leadership skills
- Apply creative methods of collaboration
- Analyze personality and work style profiles
- Develop a team assessment
- Create a performance plan for another team member
