PE 7015 - Perfusion Simulation I0 lecture hours 6 lab hours 2 credits Course Description This course presents the Master of Science in Perfusion student an opportunity to use a high-fidelity simulator to mock various CPB scenarios encountered in the clinical setting. Topics for this course include the basic fundamental skills of circuit setup and priming, going on and coming off bypass. These skills will be repeated heavily, and the student will demonstrate their ability at the end of the quarter. (prereq: enrollment in the MSP program) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Set up a CPB circuit
- Prime the CPB circuit
- Go on and come off bypass
