The biomedical engineering minor is designed for students in other engineering programs who are interested in medical device or health-related applications. The BME minor requires 10 credits in courses that provide a foundation in human physiology and the important regulatory elements of the medical device industry. Students must complete at least 6 total credits of electives from an approved list, representing courses in various sub-disciplines of biomedical engineering. Students pursuing a biomedical engineering major are not eligible to complete a biomedical engineering minor. For additional information, see the  minors policy .
