The MSOE post-master’s PMHNP certificate program is designed to develop competencies in a broad range of topics. The student learns to deliver high-quality, safe and holistic care to clients with mental and behavioral health disorders. The student acquires knowledge to lead others and to manage resources in complex health care systems with a sense of social and ethical responsibility and use best evidence to improve health care systems to positively impact outcomes for patients, families, and communities.  
This program is designed for students who have a MS in Nursing. Students will acquire competencies in at least two treatment modalities and prescriptive authority.  Students complete 600 hours of practicum. Students who complete the certificate are eligible for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) national certification examination as a PMHNP.


The post-master’s certificate is scheduled for review by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) in spring of 2021.
The required number of credits for certificate completion are determined through transcript review. The minimum number of credits is 30. Required courses are listed below.
