User Experience (UX) professionals are part of the technology industry that aims to understand the end user in order to design and develop functional, enjoyable, and user-friendly products, services, and environments. UX is one of the fastest-growing and innovative career paths today.

The UX minor at MSOE provides students with fundamental knowledge and skills in the fields of human-computer interaction, user interface design, user experience design and research. These skills are vital in designing and optimizing user experience in a wide range of industries, particularly in the field of digital innovations. The UX minor is an excellent complement to a degree in software, computer, industrial, and biomedical engineering; actuarial science, and information technology systems.

The UX minor requires a minimum of 26 quarter credits in UX and approved HU, SS, and TC courses.
