The Minor in Physics is offered to those students who wish to expand their background and understanding of physics. To qualify, a student must take 28 credits of eligible courses. This includes a minimum of 16 credits from the list of approved courses, six of which must be from courses not specifically required for a student’s major. Please note that, starting fall 2015, of the total number of credits required for the Physics Minor, at least THREE credits must be taken above and beyond the total credits required to earn the bachelor’s degree. At least 50 percent of all credits towards the minor must have been earned in residence at MSOE, including six credits from the list of approved courses. A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required for courses that are counted towards the minor.

Interested students should contact the coordinator for the minor, for clarification to the extent to which free, technical and math/science electives may be used in fulfilling the requirements for the minor.
