The Humanities, Social Science, and Communication Department is responsible for administering and providing core courses for the Bachelor of Science degree in User Experience. In addition, the department provides students with a strong foundation in the humanities, social sciences, and communication, immersing them in a broader social, cultural, and intellectual context and enabling them to think critically, communicate clearly, and act responsibly in their professional and personal lives.

These electives are any courses with the AHT, ANT, FNA, GER, HON, HST, HUM, LIT, SOC, PHL, PSY, PSC, SOC, SPN, or SSC prefix that are not specifically required for a student’s program of study.

Enrollment in Foreign Language Courses

• A proficiency exam administered by the instructor may be needed to determine the appropriate level of language course for the student.
• A student placed in a higher-level foreign language course will not receive retroactive credit for lower level language courses.
