ME 862 - Advanced Mechanical System Design3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course reviews the analysis of springs and screws when subjected to a combination of steady and alternating loads. The course investigates the design and analysis of advanced machine components. Included are topics such as belting, clutches, brakes, welds, rivets, journal bearings, cams, impact stresses and fans.
