GE 705 - Computer Assisted Engineering3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description The purpose of this course is to make students familiar with the application of computer-based tools in the analysis and design of engineering systems. Topics covered include data acquisition, frequency domain analysis, mathematical and statistical problem solving, the use of computers in graphics and an introduction to simulation. The course emphasizes the use of commercially available software packages for problem solving. Students are taught to write small programs using high-level languages and special purpose software library packages.
