GE 703 - Simulation and Modeling3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the basic concepts of engineering systems and analysis and design using computer modeling and simulation. Topics covered include classification of systems and models, steps in developing computer models for discrete event systems, simplification, verification, validation, and applications of simulation and modeling. To provide the student with practical experience, commercial simulation software is used to implement and simulate the models.
