AE 616 - Structural Stability3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course presents structural stability analysis for members and multistory frames. Topics include column buckling, torsional buckling of beams, plate buckling, modeling structural stability with the finite element method, and post-buckling behavior. (prereq: AE 610 ) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: • Determine column buckling behavior and torsional buckling capacity of beams
