MS 4231 - Server 2003 Network Infrastructure3 lecture hours 2 lab hours 4 credits Course Description This is a lab-based course that provides students with the knowledge and skills to implement, manage, and maintain a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 network infrastructure. Topics covered include implementing routing; implementing, managing, and maintaining Dynamic Host configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name Systems (DNS), and Windows Internet Name Service (WINS); securing Internet Protocol (IP) traffic with Internet Protocol security (IPSec) and certificates; implementing a network access infrastructure by configuring the connections for remote access clients; and managing and monitoring network access. MS-4231 is the Microsoft official academic course “”Implementing, Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure”” and covers material in Microsoft’s official curriculum courses (MOC) #2277 - Implementing, Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure: Network Services, and the associated certification exam #70-291. (prereq: One of the following: MS 479 , MS 4211 , MS-421, or networking experience equivalent) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: • Configure routing by using the Routing and Remote Access service
