MS 3992 - Operations Management Simulation3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description Simulation is a powerful tool used to better understand the implications of business decisions and improve the quality of those decisions, particularly decisions made under conditions of uncertainty. With the wide use of spreadsheets and of specialized simulation programs and add-ins, simulation is no longer a tool for specialists. This course looks at the use of simulation, using several approaches, in a number of business areas, including operations and production management, financial modeling, forecasting of demand and waiting lines.
