MS 486 - Web Services3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description As XML is established as the data language for application integration, Web protocols are being established that automate the business-to-business transactions that take place over the Internet. This course covers the major protocols that support a service-oriented architecture on the web, such as the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), the Universal Description, Discovery and Integration protocol (UDDI), the Web Services Description Language (WSDL), and other protocols that emerge as important for interoperability.
