MS 4080 - Information Technology Systems in Health Care3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course is an in-depth and comprehensive introduction to concepts and applications of health information management in health care. Students explore the latest legislation affecting health data as well as the use of data warehousing, web technologies and database management systems in health information practice. It includes discussions of electronic medical records, health care settings, patient records, registers, legal aspects, coding, and reimbursement.
