MS 387 - Computer Systems Analysis and Design I3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course provides a survey of business systems development methodologies, as well as an overview of the systems development life cycle and the concepts, tools and techniques currently used in the analysis of management information systems and the design of new systems and applications. Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the vocabulary employed in this discipline
• Demonstrate proficiency in the generation of standard systems development documentation encompassed by the system development life cycle
• Demonstrate the ability to select effective tools for use in the definition, design, and creation of automated systems
