IE 4336 - Quick Response Manufacturing3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Producing products profitably in an increasingly competitive world market requires speed and agility. Companies and organizations that can get their products and services to customers quickly tend to do so more efficiently and reliably and with better quality than do slower companies. This course will develop students’ abilities to sustainably and efficiently reduce the amount of time processes take to complete. Special focus will be placed on process mapping, production modeling, product development, cellular manufacturing, and mass customization. (prereq: junior standing or instructor consent)
