ME 480 - HVAC Systems Design2 lecture hours 2 lab hours 3 credits This course explores major elements in the design of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Topics include psychrometric analysis, load estimation, duct/piping design, equipment selection, and energy consumption estimating. The Carrier building simulation software is utilized. Students are required to design elements of HVAC systems, resulting in an understanding of the entire process. (prereq: ME 416 or consent of instructor)
