HU 435 - Philosophy of Religion3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits The objectives of this course are to explore and reflect upon the human search for meaning, purpose, and value in life. The first part of the course covers the nature of philosophy and religion, various views concerning the origin of religion, world religions, arguments and questions concerning the existence of God. The second part of the course covers the problem of evil and suffering, death and immortality, and issues connected with the nature of faith and the search for ultimate meaning.
