HU 429 - Literature of American Minorities

3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits
This course acquaints students with a broad range of literature by American writers from minority ethnic backgrounds, from colonial American poetry to contemporary poetry, novels, plays, short stories, and essays. The works read are placed into historical and cultural perspectives, and film may also be used to give students visual references to what has been studied.
