EE 4050 - Low-Noise Analog System Design

3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits
In this course students are given background in noise mechanisms and models as applicable to analog electronics. Topics covered included fundamental noise mechanisms, amplifier noise model, noise in feedback amplifiers, noise in BJTs and FETs, and low-noise design methodologies for amplifiers and power supplies. The noise model in SPICE is introduced and used for various designs. Different examples of low-noise designs are extensively discussed and simulated. (prereq: EE 3101 )
