EE 3111 - Electronic Devices and Circuits3 lecture hours 3 lab hours 4 credits This course considers the mathematical modeling of active solid state devices and the analysis and design of single state circuits incorporating them. Small signal amplifiers are analyzed and designed and the circuits are implemented in the laboratory. Topics covered include the study of device characteristics and applications of p-n-junction diodes, bipolar junction transistors, and field effect transistors. Circuit simulation software is utilized as an engineering design tool. (prereq: EE 2070 or BE 206 )
