CVE 6691 - Urban and Facilities Planning3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This graduate course introduces the principles and practices of urban and facilities planning, including land-use planning, urban revitalization, and infrastructure planning. Students will examine how planning decisions influence the design and performance of civil and architectural systems, with attention to sustainability, resilience, and emerging technologies. Prereq: None Note: None Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Explain the role of urban and facilities planning in shaping civil and architectural systems.
- Apply planning principles to optimize land use, infrastructure performance, and environmental sustainability.
- Develop a conceptual master plan that integrates urban and facility planning considerations for diverse stakeholders.
