CVE 5201 - Environmental and Water Law3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course presents case law and regulations relating to the areas of water law and environmental compliance that impact the practice of water and environmental engineers. Prereq: CVE 3201 or CVE 3202 or CVE 3701 Note: This course is open to qualified undergraduate students. Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Research current topics in environmental and water law in the context of the civil engineering industry
- Propose engineering strategies to acieve enviornmental and water law compliance in protecting public welfare and the environment
- Examine the legal context in which environmental decisions are made
- Communicate this information in an effective, professional manner
- Demonstrate constant curiosity about our changing world
