BUS 2330 - Business Law

Course Description
The world of law touches and influences every aspect of business. This class acquaints the student with legal concepts and their application to business and personal situations. Attention is paid to understanding and analyzing contracts problems arising under the course topics considering their application. Last, an introduction to negotiation of contracts is provided.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Examine the basic nature of the legal system including the court structure and the role of lawyers
  • Examine the procedural aspects of litigation and its role in business
  • Assess, debate, and negotiate contracts
  • Demonstrate the basics of intellectual property, tort, criminal, bankruptcy, product liability, and employment law
