BUS 2730 - Business Programming I3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course introduces the student to fundamental concepts of application program development through the construction of computer programs that address typical business needs using the Python programming language. The elements of data processing and program design and development are learned through the hands-on process of building object-oriented software solutions to common business problems. Prereq: None Note: None This course meets the following Raider Core CLO Requirement: None Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to design Python-based solutions for common business tasks
- Write and test Python programs that solve structured business problems using basic input/output, control flow, and data handling
- Use correct Python syntax and semantics to write functional code that solves defined problems.
- Design basic algorithms using loops, conditionals, and functions to solve structured problems.
- Employ core Python data structures (lists, tuples, dictionaries, sets) to store and process data effectively.
