CAE 6511 - Structural Dynamics

3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits
Course Description
This course introduces the analysis techniques related to dynamic models of structural systems. Topics include formulation of single degree of freedom and multi-degree of freedom systems, free vibration response, forced system response, eigenvalue solutions for natural frequencies and mode shapes, mode superposition, and introduction to analysis for earthquake loading.
Prereq: CAE 5511  (quarter system prereq: AE/CV 5210)
Note: None
